Surprising Joy

Sunday, August 9, 2015. This morning as I lifted Evie Grace from her crib, she greeted me with her typical, tiny-girl-voice, eye-to-eye babble. How sweet her little sounds are to my ears. What real and deep pleasure they bring to my soul. Her eyes light up when she sees me as if to say, THERE you are, Mommy! I do think so. What else could one do but grow up into it.
